Budget and Spending
The vast majority of the Parish Council’s income comes from the precept, as part of your Council Tax bill. The Council sets its budget in November for the following financial year. It then monitors spending against this budget to ensure that your money is spent carefully and in support of the Parishes.
The precept for 2024/25 was £50,737, which equates to £21.68 per household for a Band D property. The Council’s budget for the year is £52,622. The Council has £120,000 in reserves towards the building of a Community Hub in the Leighton area.
